• Alginate – has a significant cosmetic significance because it gives the so-called occlusion effect. This means that it creates a “film” on the skin, which reduces TEWL (Transepidermal Water Loss). It contributes to the expansion of skin pores and better penetration of active substances. It has a rejuvenating, immunostimulating, moisturizing and regenerating effect, stimulates metabolism, removes fat deposits and improves circulation.
• Argan oil – contains vitamin E, which is twice as concentrated as in olive oil. Argan oil is rich in unsaturated fatty acids about 80% mainly in linoleic omega-6 and oleic omega-9. It also has many active substances in which there are groups of anti-cancer compounds, such as carotenes, polyphenols with antioxidant and antiradical properties, toxaphene, triterpenic alcohols, tirukallol soothing symptoms of allergies, sterols regenerating the epidermis and Butyrospermum nourishing the skin before and after sunbathing.

The algae mask creates an unstable occlusion, it causes stronger pressing of active ingredients from the preparations which are applied under it.
